OUR HISTORY
Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz (BSSF) is a professional corporation of independent certified public accountants formed in November 1990. When Laventhol & Horwath, the seventh largest accounting firm in the United States, ceased its operations on November 20, 1990, the firm Brown Schultz began servicing the clients of the former Harrisburg office. In September of 1992, Brown Schultz opened a second office in Lancaster to better serve its expanding client base.
In 1998, Brown Schultz joined forces with the firm Sheridan & Fritz and was bolstered by the addition of the insurance industry practice from the Harrisburg office of KPMG. In October 2000, the firm of Thomas C. Wetzel merged into BSSF and provided us our auto dealership niche. January 2006 brought more growth with the addition of a Healthcare Consulting Services group and the merger of Chubb and Associates.
The Firm's CPAs have extensive experience in a variety of niche industries ranging from Agriculture to Physician Practices. In addition, most of the Firm's Principals have worked with established national accounting firms prior to coming to BSSF.

Our Firm has consistently received unqualified opinions with no letters of comment, which recognizes firms who have achieved the highest level of compliance with the quality standards.

BSSF is committed to our profession and to our community. Members of our management team serve as directors and committee members for such organizations as the United Way, Holy Spirit Hospital, PA Food Bank, the Harrisburg YMCA and the local Chambers of Commerce. BSSF has also sponsored numerous community events as we believe in the importance of giving back to the community.
