Shippensburg University alumna, Ashley M. Hershey, CPA, CITP, MBA, Senior Manager at Brown Plus, has recently graduated from the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Hanover program.

Leadership Hanover is a six-month leadership program focused on developing connections in the Hanover, Pennsylvania, community. The program aims to help make leaders more successful by increasing area knowledge and building key relationships within the Hanover region.

“It was a great privilege to participate in the Leadership Hanover program alongside other like-minded leaders in the community,” said Ashley. “I look forward to putting everything that I learned to use, to benefit the Hanover clients, team members and community partners that I have the pleasure of working with each day.”

Ashley has over 10 years of public accounting experience and specializes in providing financial statement, tax and consulting services for local governments, nonprofits and closely held businesses. She also assists businesses, individuals and nonprofits with federal, state and local tax filings, with a specialization in the complex areas of Form 990s required to be filed for nonprofit organizations. “We are incredibly proud of Ashley’s steadfast commitment to the Hanover region, as demonstrated by her participation in the Leadership Hanover program,” said Ken Wolfe, President and Managing Principal at Brown Plus. “The Hanover business and nonprofit community will benefit greatly from the contributions that I know we will see in the future from Ashley and the other Leadership Hanover graduates.”

Ashley graduated from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania with both a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Personal Financial Planning and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). She is also a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). This credential identifies professional accountants with the unique ability to provide business insight by leveraging the knowledge of information relationships and supporting technologies.
