CARES Act: County Relief Block Grant Program in Pennsylvania

Under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, 2020, Pennsylvania received funding to cover costs that are necessary expenditures incurred due to COVID-19. The Community Development Block Grant – CARES (CDBG-CV) funds were distributed to counties throughout Pennsylvania. The counties were then allowed to use the funding in various different ways, including to support businesses.

Most counties have now created grant programs to support small businesses. Each county is responsible for their own programs and may have their own requirements. Below you will find a list of counties that currently have programs in our region.

This list is continuously changing as more information comes out. We will continue to keep updating as more information becomes available.

Adams County – Fund for Adams Investment and Recovery (FAIR)


Centre County – CARES Act County Relief Block Grant


Cumberland County – Renew Cumberland


Dauphin County – Restore Dauphin County


Franklin County – Franklin County Small Business Recovery Grant


Lancaster County – Lancaster County Small Business Recovery & Sustainability Fund


York County – YoCo Strong Restart Fund
