Susan Yohn, Director of Human Resources at Brown Plus, Honored as a 2023 Woman of Influence by Central Penn Business Journal

Susan T. Yohn, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Director of Human Resources (HR) at Brown Plus, was recognized as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2023 Women of Influence. Susan and the other Women of Influence honorees will be recognized during an event ceremony on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey.

The Women of Influence award honors high-achieving women for their tremendous career accomplishments. Women of Influence honorees are selected based on professional experience, community involvement and a commitment to mentoring.

“Susan is a passionate, knowledgeable, committed professional who cares deeply about the success of those around her, truly embodying our Firm’s mission of helping people achieve extraordinary outcomes,” said Ken Wolfe, President and Managing Principal at Brown Plus. “Susan has a significant impact as a woman in leadership in the Central Pennsylvania community, benefiting her Brown Plus team members as well as the many clients and community members whom she serves. She is well-deserving of the Woman of Influence award, and we are thrilled to recognize and honor her at the upcoming award ceremony.”

As the Director of HR at Brown Plus, Susan manages all areas of the Firm’s internal HR Department. She also consults with clients on an array of talent acquisition, outsourced HR and other HR consulting services. A dedicated professional within the HR industry, Susan is an active member of the HR Professionals of Central PA (HRP of CPA); the LEA Global HR Special Interest Group (SIG); the National Society of HR Management (SHRM); the Pennsylvania State Council of SHRM and the PICPA Firm Liaison Task Force. She also serves on several internal committees at Brown Plus, including the Brown Plus Strategic Plan Committee, the Brown Plus Fun Committee and the Brown Plus Wellness Committee.

In addition to her roles as Director of HR and client advisor at Brown Plus, Susan is also dedicated to giving back to the community. She has served as a long-time volunteer with Special Olympics Area M; has served on the Firm’s United Way campaign planning committee for over seven years; and serves as an advocate and guest speaker for AIM Network.

Thirty-one Women of Influence were selected by the Central Penn Business Journal this year for their significant contributions to their respective fields and for their leadership in Central Pennsylvania in the areas of civic leadership, communications, education, finance, general business, health care, law, philanthropy, real estate and technology.
