Effective for fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2021, a new accounting standard from FASB will affect the way leases are accounted for. BSSF will hold an in-person lease accounting educational session in June 2022 that will provide a detailed description of the changes to lease accounting, as well as some accounting software solutions and specific examples to clarify the difference in treatment.
